Job Summary:

The Head of Production is responsible for developing and Implementing the production of content for the channel and increase audience figures.

Plays a key role in the conceptualization, formulation, development, and execution of production content and content adaptability.


Duties & Responsibilities/Deliverables:

•    Lead the production department (live TV production, graphics, presenters, guests).
•    Develop techniques and on air strategies that will enable the company to maximise sales opportunities and drive viewership to the TV channel.
•    Lead the presenter team, ensure they have the suitable skills and information to successful present the TV show.
•    Ensure the presenter team well prepared in order to maximise the effectiveness of the programme schedule, sales and PR opportunities.
•    Manage the team of possible guests effectively to ensure their performance during the TV show.
•    Manage the producers to ensure the live programming is executed to the highest standards.
•    Review shows, individuals performances and developing new programme ideas.
•    Represent the team at all planning meetings and ensure to maximise the sales execution of the live show to produce the best possible sales and customer experience.
•    Be involved in the company’s strategic development.
•    Work closely together with the company’s management.
•    Responsible for the preparation of annual Production budget formulation process.
•    Develop and establish effective systems, procedures and standards of performance for the production team.

 

Education:

B.A. Degree in media production, or relevant education.

Skills & Experience Required:

Experience:

  • 7-10 years of TV production experience. Live TV experience preferred.
  • High level experience with scripted based shows of all formats.
  • Must have a strong knowledge of, and relationships with, key players in media production industry, including emerging talent, agents, production companies, producers, writers, etc.
  • Must be able to independently supervise the development of a project from treatment to script phase

 

Skills Set:

  • Ability to speak and understand Arabic language.
  • Proven ability to identify unique production ideas.
  • The ability to take those ideas and translate them into winning/successful programming.
  •
